"We stayed with immediate family for Christmas so that we could spend the holiday with my husband's Sister. The house is just lovely. It was the first time we had been away for Christmas and we were able to celebrate together truly feeling right at home. We all loved being so close to the restaurants and shopping on King street. We could walk everywhere. The house was perfect, clean, beautiful and easy to curl up and just be together.
With just an "Alexa play Christmas music everywhere" the mood was set :) Santa found us with no problem!

Old Alexandria was charming and all within easy walking distance. We needed permits for parking and that all worked out very well - easily found spaces on an adjacent street. Jennie with Poshabodes was extremely responsive to any questions we had and very accommodating to our needs."

"Our stay at Brockett house exceeded our expectations in every way! Warm welcoming entry and living room, formal, yet cozy dining room and gorgeous kitchen with high end finishes. Our teenage children couldn’t have been happier to walk into the kitchen and find fresh donuts under glass! After a long day of traveling, the champagne on ice was such a luxurious, relaxing treat for my husband and I. More than enough space for a family of 5, with plush comfortable bedding and 3 beautiful modern bathrooms. Location was fantastic, walkable distance to restaurants, shops, farmers market (Saturdays) and the river. We had no problem finding street parking using host provided parking passes. Hoping for a reason to go back to Alexandria so we can stay at Brockett house again!"

"These homes were incredible. I reserved two houses for the bridal party for my wedding, and each one was immaculate, beautiful, and well-stocked. There were comfortable beds and common spaces, room to get ready, beautiful places for pictures, and nice outdoor spaces. I could not recommend highly enough. Perfect for weddings, group vacations, or similar events. I would absolutely stay here again, perhaps to celebrate our anniversary next year! 5 stars all around, and thank you for such a great experience."

"WOW! I have stayed in a lot of Airbnbs and this one sits in the top 5! The hosts were so responsive and kind, with flexible check in and check out which we truly appreciated! The location is PHENOMENAL. We walked all over! Just down the road from Trader Joe’s, too.
We stayed with family and really loved the kitchen, dining, and living hangout areas. Beds were super comfy and everything you could want for kitchen and bathrooms were provided. They greeted us with donuts and champagne. Such a cute touch! Highly recommend this place. You can’t beat the location and charm!"

"We loved every minute of our stay! We felt pampered from the time we opened the door with the music playing, champagne chilling and pastries waiting for us on arrival!! Every room was delightful and every guest loved their bedroom! A few of us want to know what mattresses are used in the house as well felt like we slept so well!! Linens were high quality and kitchen was very well stocked. Location was fabulous and an easy walk to so many things. Also want to give a special shout out to the concierge (Jen) as she answered so many of our questions before arrival and gave wonderful suggestions for restaurants and a catering service. We hope to be return guests and want to try other Poshabodes properties as well!!!"

"What a perfect place to stay!! We couldn’t have asked for anything more. It look as beautiful as it did in the pictures, but was also an incredibly comfortable home. They went above and beyond with welcome gifts of champagne and cookies. The host was proactive in reaching out and checking in, and was friendly as d helpful. She was very quick to respond to questions and had clear and thorough instructions. The robes were a nice surprise too. I had to cook some dishes to bring to a thanksgiving dinner and the kitchen had everything I needed. We enjoyed spending time in the living room by the fire. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the bathrooms were spotless and had nice towels. Beautiful walkable neighborhood, right by the waterfront. We had very short walks to get a coffee or drink, and restaurants and shopping close by. Loved the keyless entry! It wasn’t the right weather for it, but we look forward to using that beautiful back patio when we return!"

"The high end detail of this home and the quality of all the amenities and furnishings were outstanding. Staying on Captain’s row was perfect as our family was visiting for attendance at a wedding - so walking distance to coffee shops and food was perfect. The host even provided soft plushy robes for the adults, and also included some for the tiniest members of our family. The attention to detail was outstanding. The champagne welcome, fresh flowers and donuts were such a nice surprise. We loved the outdoor private courtyard and would absolutely return to this amazing posh air bnb."

"The location was perfect for my guests to pop in and out, to sight see and dine. They were smitten with the uniqueness of the homes architecture and being able to step out the front door into the historic district with its gas lamps and cobblestone streets.

"We travel often and usually stay in 5 star hotels. Coming back to VA for my sons wedding we wanted a “home base” for family and friends that were traveling - Prince of Wales was exceptional and more than met our expectations!!! An easy walk down cobblestone steers to our rehearsal dinner and all the OldTown sights, decorators impeccably staying true to the colonial past, fresh flowers, coffee, croissants, champagne…. NOTHING was overlooked. Private parking space was a bonus. Our guests said it had the best beds they have ever slept in!! All the dishes, glassware ect was perfect for entertaining. Everyone complimented the property and asked who our host was; we will definitely stay here again when returning to town."

"What a perfect house for my family. I will stay here any time I have business or pleasure in the DC area. The house has charm and grace but it is spotless and modern. The house sits next door to a museum that has a lovely garden so there is a feeling of urban privacy. The hosts have really thought about the details - any kitchen gadget we could want for, loads of fluffy towels and wine glasses, lovely air conditioning, the music was playing when we arrived and gorgeous flowers sprinkled about. My family were in town to attend my fathers funeral, so it was a difficult and emotional week, but the house gave us refuge and space to meet with relatives and friends we hadn't seen in many years. My mother had a private suite where she could rest away from the family. This helped her face the week greatly. We are just in awe of the house design and the thoughtfulness of our hosts (even fresh donuts under glass...). The upgraded tech was greatly appreciated. I love Poshabodes!!"

"My husband and I stayed in this house with our 4 children. It was an excellent experience for many reasons. It is a beautiful home in a great location with private parking. Alexandria is a beautiful area and also so close to DC and Mount Vernon. The little extras are abundant and appreciated. From fresh flowers to a literally endless supply of giant fluffy white towels and bath robes, we simply felt well taken care of. The kitchen is well stocked and every room is well lit - great lighting. Family room is cozy and primary bed is very comfortable. The front office is an amazing space if you need to work - desk with USB's, outlets and a view. Great supply of the basics that we don't find in every rental home such as garbage bags, ziplock bags, toilet paper, Q tips and toiletries - stocked like a 5 star hotel. These little things mean ALOT when traveling. When I asked the kids about their favorite part of the trip to DC (we toured 1-2 things daily), they said: The house!!"

"I don’t typically write reviews, but I really can’t stop raving about Hobson Hall! It was absolutely beautiful, exceptionally clean, and in a great location. Check in was easy-- quiet, private parking spots, remote keyless entry, and even champagne! The historical architectural features, the décor, the high quality furniture, and the original artwork are really above and beyond-- some days we didn’t even want to leave the house! We were also able to spread out in the various rooms comfortably. The kitchen had professional grade appliances and anything we could need to prepare a meal. The master bedroom was large, with a very comfortable bed and bedding, and the blackout curtains and location on the next door private garden afforded us excellent sleep-- not something I usually can count on while traveling! The master bathroom was perfect-- large dressing room, huge shower and separate bath made dressing easy-- and fluffy towels upon extra fluffy towels! We will definitely return!"
